Leak, leak, break
We're quickly getting introduced to what it means to own instead of rent. Things I used to file under "Not My Problem", are now my problem! We got quite a bit of rain a couple nights ago and found out that we have a leak on the side of our slide out. Gonna have to climb up top with some Flex Seal before our next storm. We also figured out there's a leak somewhere along our gas line (thankfully outside, not inside). We've got 2 propane tanks that were full when we went to bed one night and completely empty when I tried cooking the next day. Luckily David's unnatural attachment to his space heater meant that it didn't get sold/donated/trashed in the moving purge, and we've been using that since we can't use our furnace without gas. These past few nights have been COLD 🥶, would've been a rough few nights without the space heater.
We made our first big move with the camper, from Gretna to Kellogg. David towed in his work truck, he said it wasn't too windy so not a bad drive. When we got inside it was a different story though, broken glass everywhere... Seems a cupboard didn't get closed all the way so we lost a couple coffee mugs and a few glasses. Thankfully no kitties were knocked unconscious and no glass in their paws. Gonna have to do a better job at making sure everything is secure before the next drive!
The kitties seem to be adjusting to their new smaller space. Their crazy run around time feels much crazier now, when they really get going they shake the whole damn camper! But it is pretty entertaining to watch. What was not entertaining to watch was when the little maniacs knocked over my Scentsy, wax EVERYWHERE!! Not only was the wax all over the floor, the cabinet, and the trash can, but Frannie was COVERED in it. Took a few days to get it all off of her (technically it's not all gone, still a little on her foot), but she smells really nice! It was a pine tree wax melt so she smells like Christmas!!
We walked around a bit today, trying to enjoy the cool breezes before gross sweaty summer gets here. 😝 Got to see some pretty cool wood carvings, turtles and geese!
